Tatoo stuff.

I got my tattoo done on Saturday (YAY!) and it turned out AWESOME.  It’s in the scabbed stage right now and sort of resembles a burnt log like this:

Because of that, I probably won’t be posting a picture for a week or so, but I love it and I’m excited so I thought I’d share with you guys:)

Things that I think people need to get into their thick skulls, some serious and some not:

  • LGBT: It’s not a choice. Get over it.  Don’t like gay marriage?  Don’t marry someone the same sex as you.  Letting that one guy you saw once in a coffee shop marry his boyfriend won’t cause an apocalypse.
  • Islam:  They’re not all terrorists.  And don’t you dare point at the Qur’an and say “look what it says here!” because you know what?  The Bible probably says the exact same thing, but in English instead of Arabic.  Any Muslim terrorists are just the extremists of their group and I bet most Muslims don’t consider those people true followers of Allah, just as Christians claim the abortion clinic bombers aren’t true Christians.  Get off your high horses. Oh and just another note: this is an extremely offensive costume. I’m disgusted.
  • Hufflepuff: It’s not a house full of the “weak” ones.  Any real Potterhead would know that Hufflepuffs are “…just and loyal.  Those patient Hufflepuffs are true and unafraid of toil.” This combines the best qualities of all the houses:  Loyalty and fairness of Gryffindors, hard-work and ambition of Slytherins, and the intelligence of Ravenclaws to know that patience is the key to success and understanding.
  • Adoption: It isn’t selfishness of a birth mother who doesn’t want to “deal with” having to raise a kid.  It’s the utmost selfless sacrifice of giving up one’s child to a family who can give that child a better life than she could.  It’s putting the success and happiness of your flesh and blood ahead of your instinctual attachment.
